You can add a manual deposit to a booking on the EPOS when you will take the deposit from a customer in person via card or cash.
If you want to take a deposit from a customer who is not present, you can send them a deposit link.
To take a manual deposit for an existing booking, from your EPOS, go into EPOS > More, then select Bookings.
Choose the date of the booking you wish to add a deposit to by clicking the current date. All bookings on the selected date will be displayed to the left of the bookings screen.
Note: Any bookings that already have a deposit assigned to them, will have a £ symbol, after the booking name. You can still add an additional deposit to a booking that already has a deposit on.
Click on the booking that you want to take a deposit for.
Press the Edit button in the top right of the bookings screen.
Press the orange Add Deposit button.
Select Add manual deposit.
On the keypad screen, enter the deposit amount & click the green OK button. If you are taking the deposit by card and use an integrated card reader, the amount will be sent to the reader for payment to be taken.
The Total deposits section of the booking will be updated to reflect the new deposit amount.
When the customer arrives for their booking, you can open them a tab with the deposit automatically applied as credit.
