Product templates make it quicker to add new products to your EPOS and ensure that the set up is correct, even if products need to be added quickly on the fly.
Product templates are linked to categories so that any product you create in the category automatically includes the set up defined by the template.
A product template can include any information you would like to include on a product by default, including (but not limited to) measures, measurement units, and order unit sizes.
Your system comes with a set of default product templates that are linked to some of the default categories.
Note: When you are viewing a category on the back office you will know if it has a template linked as instead of an Add Product button, you will see a button relating to the linked template, e.g. Add wine by the glass.
To view your existing product templates go into your Back office > Products > Product templates from the left hand navigation.
You will see a list of the product templates that are set up on your system along with the category (or categories) each template is linked to.
From here you can amend an existing product template, or add a new product template.
