When you export members to Mailchimp the default fields included in the export are name, email, and phone number. If you would like to export additional fields you can map these prior to triggering the export. Once you have mapped any additional fields for a particular audience, these will be remembered the next time you export to that audience.
Exporting additional fields may enable you to personalise the content you include in your emails, or take advantage of some automation features within Mailchimp, such as emailing members on their birthday.
To export additional fields to Mailchimp, you will need to create your additional fields (audience fields) in Mailchimp first.
Once created, go into your back office & select Loyalty > Campaigns from the left hand navigation.
In the Campaigns display, select whether you want to export Members, Contacts or both.
Note: If a member/contact has not consented to marketing, they will not be exported to Mailchimp.
Click the blue Export to Mailchimp button.
From the Member export options modal, select the Mailchimp list that you want to map the fields for.
Note: If you want to map fields for a new list you will need to export to the new list first, then do another export to map the fields.
When selecting your existing Mailchimp list, the Show merge fields button will display.
By default, First name, Last name & Phone number will be selected to export.
To add additional fields, in the Merge fields boxes, choose the User field from TabHub you would like to include & the corresponding Mailchimp merge field.
Click the grey Add merge field button. The new additional field will appear in the list below.
Repeat the above steps, for any other additional fields.
Click the blue Export button, in the bottom right of the screen to export your additional fields to Mailchimp.
A green confirmation message will appear in the top right of the screen, indicating how many members have successfully been imported.
