Some customers using the MC-Print 2 and MC-Print 3 printers will need to upgrade their firmware to the latest version in order for BarTab to communicate with it.
If your printer is displaying random characters on an initial print-out from BarTab then this indicates that a firmware upgrade is necessary.
Steps to Upgrade
1. Download the mC-Print Utility app from the App Store onto your iPad or other Apple device (you must ensure that this device is connected to the same network as the printer).
2. Press Select Printer at the top to connect to the printer and choose the printer from the list (if this doesn't appear, double-check that the device is on the same network as the printer and the printer is powered on and retry)
3. Return to the main menu after selecting the printer and press Printer Settings and then press Firmware Update.
4. Select the new firmware file or Update when prompted. Wait for the process to complete.
