Assign friendly names and device groups

We recommend that you assign each device a friendly name to help you understand which EPOS that iPad is for e.g. "Upstairs bar" or "Kitchen".

You can also assign each device to a device group (bar, kitchen, or roaming), which will ensure any messages appear on the correct devices.

You can manage your devices from the admin screen of any EPOS iPad by pressing 'Device'.

You will be presented with a pop up displaying useful information about the device you are using, including the current friendly name and device group.

To change the friendly name, just click on the field, delete the current name and type your new name.

To change the device group, click on the current group and you will be presented with a list to choose from.

When you have made your changes, press anywhere outside the box to close it. You will see a green tick to indicate your changes have been saved.
