If you issue memberships that expire after a set period of time, you can set an expiry date to automatically apply to all new members added on the back office. Members will automatically be deactivated on the expiry date, which can be updated manually as required.
If you don't have a set membership duration, but you would like members to deactivate after a period of time in which they haven't visited your club or venue, you can set members to deactivate based on the time since they last used their membership.
To set a member expiry date, go into your Back office > Setup > Loyalty.
Scroll down to Enable member auto deactivation. By default this will be off. Click the toggle to turn this on.
When toggled to on, two new fields will open up, deactivation method & memberships expire after.
In the Deactivation method field, click on the dropdown & choose the method Members expiry date.
You will be required to enter the number of days after sign up, in which the member will be automatically deactivated.
Note: The member expiry date will be set automatically for all new members created from this point. All existing members expiry dates will need be set manually. This can be done by viewing the member in the back office, where you can also amend an expiry date if needed.
If you would like to be notified when members have been deactivated, switch the Member deactivation notification toggle to On.
Press Save at the bottom of the page to confirm your changes.
