If you host events on behalf of non-profit organisations with a valid sales tax exemption certificate you can remove the sales tax from the sales relating to the event.
When your customer receives their receipt, the receipt will clearly display that taxes have been removed from the bill.
To remove sales tax from a tab, open the required tab on your EPOS.
Click on the Sales tax line. An item action will pop-up.
Click Remove sales tax.
Click Yes to confirm you want to set all items on the current tab to be tax exempt.
The tab will re-open & the Sales tax line will have a value of 0.00. The total value of the tab, will also update.
If you need to restore the Sales tax of a tab, you can do so by clicking on the Sales tax line again.
Click Restore sales tax.
The Sales tax value will be restored & the value of the tab will update.
