When you have setup your Takepayments terminal, you will need to add the terminal to your account and assign it to an EPOS device.
To add a Takepayments terminal, from the EPOS, navigate to the Admin screen & click Card setup.
From the Takepayments setup screen, click the white + icon in the top right corner.
The Add terminal dialog box will display. Enter the serial number of the Takepayments terminal into the empty field & select the type of terminal from the dropdown field.
Note: The serial number can be found on the back of the terminal where the barcode is. It will be a 10 digit number indicated with the S/N abbreviation
Click the green Add terminal button.
The Terminal added confirmation prompt will display. Click the green Yes button to assign the terminal to the EPOS.
Note: Assigning the terminal to the EPOS device will make it the default terminal for payments on that device. If you don't assign the terminal to the EPOS device, it will still be linked to your account and will be able to be selected when taking a payment.
You will return back to the Takepayment dialog box. Close this box down by clicking on the white X in the top leftcorner of the screen.
You will now need to add your Connection details to the Takepayments terminal.
To see your Connection details, go back into the Takepayments set up screen. Locate the terminal you are setting up & click on the Terminal row. The connection details for the terminal will display.
From your Takepayments terminal, long press on the screen & enter the Supervisor code. Click the red OK button.
Click Settings from the top of the Takepayments terminal.
Enter the Connection details displayed on your EPOS as shown in image 5 above.
Enter the IP address & Port number as displayed. When entering the Path details, do not include the /. Only the letters & numbers are required.
Click the red Connect button. A grey message will display at the bottom of the terminal to indicate the terminal is connected.
From your EPOS, log back into Admin > Card setup. The terminal you paired to your EPOS will display as Connected.
You can now use your terminal to take payments.
