Producing employee tip records

To comply with the latest government tipping legislation, employees can request to view the tipping record of their employer. To help you comply with this, you can extract a tipping record for any employee from the staff module.


Note: To be able to produce employee tipping records you will need to record your tip distribution in the tip pay outs module.


To produce a tipping record for a specific member of the staff, go into the back office & click Staff & Roles > Staff, from the left hand navigation.



From the staff list, locate the member of staff & click on the row.



In the staff profile, scroll down to Tip payout history.


You will be able to see all previous Tip payouts with:

  • Tip payout date
  • From and to date (The period the tip pay out relates to)
  • Total qualifying tips (The total value of tips & service charge within the given Tip payout)
  • Amount paid out (The value of tips paid to the staff member)



To send the record to the member of staff, select your preferred exporting option.



If you would like to view the full Tip payout for all staff members, click the blue Chart icon at the end of the Tip payout row.
