You can take deposits for bookings by triggering a deposit link to be emailed to the customer. The customer can click on the link to pay their deposit and you will be able to see on the booking when the deposit has been paid.
Before you can take deposits via deposit links you will need to enable deposit links and connect to a payment processor.
To send a deposit link for any booking or booking request, click the blue Generate a deposit link button at the bottom of the view/edit booking screen.
On the modal that pops up, enter the amount of the deposit you would like the guests to pay to confirm their booking, then press Generate & send email.
You will then see the requested deposit under the deposit links section of the view booking screen.
You can see the steps the guest will go through to pay the deposit in Paying a deposit via deposit link.
Once the guest has paid the deposit, you will see the deposit link change from requested to Completed and you will see the deposit appear under deposits and redemptions.
If you have not done so already you can now confirm the booking request.
When the customer arrives for their booking, you can open them a tab with the deposit automatically applied as credit.
