Deposit links are quick, secure method of taking ad hoc deposits for bookings when required.
Note: If you want to take set deposits for every booking, or specific booking types, you may want to enable up front deposits instead.
Before you can take deposits from customers via deposit links you will first need to enable deposit links and connect to a payment processor.
To do this go to the Bookings tab of the set up module.
Then click on the Deposits tab.
If you are already connected to Stripe or PayPal for mobile ordering you will see you are already connected. If not, you can connect to your preferred processor here, which will take you through creating an account if needed.
Once connected you will see a message informing you which payment processor you are connected to.
Now scroll down to Enable booking deposit links and click on it to switch it to On.
Further down you can add venue information that the customer will see when paying a deposit. If you have already set these, from the Venue details tab of the set up module, they will pull through automatically.
Similarly if you have already uploaded a logo and cover image for mobile ordering, you will see those here.
Note: You may also want to set your deposit policy wording, which will display to your customer when they pay their deposit.
Finally press Save Deposit Links Set up.
You are now ready to take deposits via deposit links.
