Emails will be sent to customers when:
- They make a booking enquiry
- Their booking enquiry is confirmed
- Their booking enquiry is declined
- Their booking is cancelled
You can also optionally set booking reminder and follow up emails.
You can customise the emails that will be sent to your customers on the Email notifications tab, under
Setup > Bookings > Booking widget setup.
Note: You will also be given the opportunity to edit the confirmation and decline emails at the point you confirm/decline booking requests.
For each email type you can edit:
- Header - text that will appear at the top of the email above the booking details
- Footer - text that will appear at the bottom of the email below the booking details
You can simply type text or you can use the following tags:
- :venue_name - inserts the name of your venue
- :booking_type - inserts the booking type of the booking
- :contact_email - inserts the contact email on the booking the email relates to
- :booking_name - inserts the name on the booking the email relates to
- :booking_date - inserts the date of the booking the email relates to
- :booking_email - inserts the email(s) you have set for your booking notifications
If you need to add formatting to links to your email you can do so using Markdown language, which is a simplified form of HTML.
