This article shows you how to link a purchase to a member when adding items to a tab by scanning a member QR code on the add to tab screen.
If a member only presents their pass when they are paying for their tab, you can scan their QR code on the PAY screen.
Linking a purchase to a loyalty member will:
- Enable you to apply any promotions the member is eligible for
- Track the purchase against that member for reporting purposes
- Enable you to apply any credit a member has on their account
When adding items to a tab you can link them to a member by scanning a QR code on the 'add to tab' screen.
Press the camera icon at the top of the screen (if you don't see a camera icon make sure you have enabled QR code scanning).
Then scan the member's QR code.
Note: To use the reverse camera on the back of the iPad, click the Reverse camera icon, in the QR code scan screen.
You will be presented with the below screen showing the members details. Press ACTIVATE.
Then press OK.
You will be taken back to the EPOS screen. If you go to the Summary screen you will see there is now a tab open for the member with the items and their discounts applied.
For any future orders, while the tab is open there is no need to scan the QR code again, you can just add items straight to the members tab.
