If you allocate tips to staff members based on who served the customer and who left the tip, you can track this by assigning a tab owner to your tabs.
The tab owner is displayed on the tips & service charge report on the back office, and can be used to allocate tips.
With Tab owners assigned, users will also be able to filter their own tabs and click on their profile to see their total tips earned.
To assign an owner to a tab, first ensure that you have enabled Assign owners to tabs in the back office.
Once enabled, you will see a tab owner dropdown (defaulted to unassigned) at the top of the New tab screen.
You can then select from a list of clocked-in users.
When you select the tab owner, their name will display in the Owner dropdown at the top of the screen.
If you open the tab directly to a table, skipping the new tab screen, you can assign a tab owner by pressing the pencil icon while viewing the tab on the summary screen.
You can also use this method to change the tab owner on a previously assigned tab.
On the edit screen, you can select the tab owner from the blue Owner dropdown at the top of the screen as above.
After selecting the tab owner, press the green Save button.
