You can void an item if you need to remove it from your sales. Voids can represent items where the stock has been used, e.g. wastage, or where no stock has been used, e.g. a mis-keyed sale.
Voids will not appear on a customer receipt, or on the Z report. If you would like an item to show on a customer receipt you can instead refund an item (refunds will always count the stock as used).
To void an item, open the tab from the Tab menu, then click the blue Options button in the bottom t of the screen.
From the Options menu, select Multi-select. Select the items that need to be voided by clicking the row of the item. Items selected will be indicated with a blue circular tick.
At the bottom of the screen, click the orange Editing button, followed by Actions from the Editing menu.
Select the type of void you need to perform from the Actions menu:
- Void Item (Items Not Used) - If the item had not been used, such as an item that had been added to the tab in error
- Void used items (Items Used) - If the item had been removed from stock, such as the wrong beer being poured
Then select the reason why you are performing the void, from the Void reasons list.
Note: Void reasons can be changed in the back office.
When the items have been voided, they will be removed from the tab.
Note: Voided items will not be available on the End of Day Z report, but can viewed on the Voids & Refunds report.
